Families do all sorts of things together and many of these are listed in the board book. Families also look all sorts of ways as the illustrations highlight. The final line of the book is that families belong together.
I suspect this might have been a political commentary, which almost works, but I am sensitive to students that may be from a family that is not together by choice - divorce, separation, work travel, etc. These readers may feel excluded by the idea that families should be together.
