This workbook moves from activities that require identifying emotions and natural responses to stimuli, to reflecting on when and why and how the reader/writer feels the things they do. It has the participant draw, match, label, and write.
My 8-year old son worked through most of this workbook while sitting on his dad’s lap and they had a lot of great conversations about what different emotions look and feel like. The tone of the workbook facilitated very logical conversations and normalized emotions that are often labeled as good or bad. It was a positive experience, but my son didn’t pick the workbook up again on his own and had to be prompted to continue working through it.
