Billy really wants to travel and have adventures and can’t believe his luck when a pirate ship shows up and takes him on a journey. They find an island and a scared creature that seems scary at first, but quickly shows his vulnerability and joins them on their journey.
The flow of this book felt jolty with not enough time spent on any of the events. I was also a bit surprised that Billy threatened the scared creature with a knife when Billy thought the creature was dangerous. This seems like a message we don’t want to pass along
