Hilo: Gina the Girl Who Broke the World by Judd Winick - ADVISABLE

Hilo: Gina the Girl Who Broke the World (Hilo, #7) by Judd Winick, 208 pages. GRAPHIC NOVEL Random House, 2021.

Language: G; Mature Content: G; Violence: PG.

BUYING ADVISORY: EL, MS – ADVISABLE

AUDIENCE APPEAL: AVERAGE

Gina develops her magic as she tries to save her friends and the world. Monsters come in search for Nestors, alien creatures who are hunted for their magical abilities. The Nestors in this book secretly want Gina and her powers to help them travel back in time to stop the hunting and capturing of their kind. This endangers the entire future of the world.

I recommend this for Hilo fans.  I have loved the whole Hilo series.  It was full of surprise and adventures. The friendships hold together throughout the book.  The illustrations are fun and cartoonish.
