An older sister tries to warn her little brother that summer is coming to an end.  She tells him that he can’t swim anymore and that when the cold comes, they are stuck at home.  The little boy is upset, until the winter actually comes and then he loves the snow and snuggling with his family for a movie night. As the little boy grasps the concept of changing seasons, he starts to worry that winter will be over soon.

What a great take on the traditional seasons’ books.  This story deals with the emotions that come with the seasons and not the science behind it. The illustrations weren’t my favorite, but they story is well done, and I liked the way it helps younger kids talk about the emotions of changing seasons.
