When the farmer and his brother Bob decide to take everybody on a picnic to Breezy Lake, all the animals are excited to hike, fish, and roast marshmallows, except for Duck. Duck stays in the truck.
A very fun "Ready to Read" book, with the same characters from "Click Clack Moo, Cows That Type. Duck is still full of attitude, and the other animals are just having a great time. Not super easy (level 2) so there's enough story for a nice sized read aloud about helping and being part of the team.
