Every autumn, a little girl learns how much her grandmother loves the season. They wear scarves (the more the better), they sip tea, they wave to the falling leaves, they sing and dance. But soon, Grandmother's health begins to fail and the little girl finds herself taking the lead and helping grandmother do all the things she loved. By the next autumn, Grandmother has passed way, but the girl remembers all the things she learned.
I loved the beautiful depiction of the falling leaves. I loved how they sat in the wood together appreciating the season. When I saw it was going to be a book about grieving, I was worried that it would be sad and sappy but it wasn't. Just perfect - remembering the wonderful times. Autumn brings the girl good memories.
