This small book covers the highlights of Anne’s experience during the war and in hiding. It clearly explains why she wrote the journal, what she said, and how it was found.
I like that these books are not too long and easily read in one sitting, but there are a lot of background details to Anne’s story that an adult would know, but kids may not. My own kids had lots of questions about Hitler and the war, that the book just didn’t have time to explain.
