I think what I like most about these books is that the animals all have real names – not just Cat, Squirrel, or Snail.  Meet Lois, Roger, and Cynthia instead.  I don’t know if kids will notice and appreciate that or not.  I do know they will like playing peek-a-boo with the flaps!
