A girl and her cat are descending into the ocean in their yellow submarine.  What will they find lurking in the depths?

The bright illustrations and the peek-a-boo cutouts are the real draw for this board book.  The text is only mediocre -- the rhymes are fine, but the plot lurches from place to place.  At one point you are looking ata  whale and then suddenly you are searching for a mouse.  Very jarring -- and not fun to read ad infinitum like little kids want with great board books.
