There was a boy who really wanted something to take care of so
he asks his mom for a pet. One day she finally says yes. He loves his puppy so
much. They are both so happy and one day the puppy decides he wants something
to take care of his very own. The boy’s mother is flabbergasted that the pet
dog would also want his very own pet. But, in the end the puppy gets a cat. The
story goes on like this until everyone, big small, human or not, is very happy
and has someone to take care of.
I loved this adorable book. I could just imagine kids
giggling as each pet acquires its own pet as the book progresses. It is a
ridiculously delightful premise. I think a lot of kids and adults will relate
to the desire to be able to take care of something that is one’s own.
