Every day the crows sit in their tree and warn of dangers that they spot below. At first the young crow joins in. But as time goes on, she begins to see that not all of the things spotted below are dangerous. This makes her think about looking up and seeing what is above the safety of the tree.
The crow learns to balance both the caution learned from her elders with a new found sense of adventure. Tregoning’s rhyming text is well written and engaging. I also really loved Stobbs’s illustrations.
