Ellie loved hunting for trinkets in the sandbox that sat at the back of her classroom when they had indoor recess. This time she found a beautiful little shell. The bell rang, and although she was supposed to put it back, she couldn't part with it and slipped it into her pocket. At lunch, she didn't sit with her friends but looked at her shell instead. A little dragon inside the shell looked at her and then climbed out and told her that it was her secret. Throughout the day the dragon got bigger and bigger until it weighed on her so much that she couldn't eat or sleep. What should she do to get rid of the secret dragon?
Ellie Has a Secret is about confiding in a trusted adult and releasing the secrets that weigh us down. The characters are stunningly illustrated.
