Cecilia loves being a kid - going to school, playing soccer with her friends. But she also has a second job - interpreting for her parents, whose English is minimal. She is starting to feel as if her second job is taking over her life.
Abtahi does a great job showing how overwhelming everything can be for children who are called upon to interpret for their parents constantly. I choked up a little bit at the end. Cecilia is shown with a support system at the end, but not every child in that position has that support.
