Daisy loves the fall, especially the excitement of the fair. During one visit, she wins a peculiar-looking fish and brings it home in a small bag of water. Though the fish looks odd, she tends to it with care. But with each passing day, the fish grows bigger and soon outgrows every bowl she puts it in. Eventually, Daisy has no choice but to take it to the lake. And when she does, something truly magical happens.
A sweet story for early elementary grades. For anyone who has ever wondered if a pet might hold a little magic if we give just the right amount of love and care. I also liked the illustrations.
