How do you know “just what to do” when something is wrong, but everyone needs something differrent? Our young protagonist learns the various ways to support people coping with grief and loss.

At once tender and sweet, this picture book shows readers all the different ways to help people who have experienced loss. This is a tough topic for anyone to discuss, but I thought the author & illustrator did it masterfully, especially helping younger readers understand that they need to allow the other person the space to grieve how best fits for them. I think it would be an excellent addition for your classroom shelf.
