It's Shabbat and the day of the naming ceremony for Zachary's baby sister. As they walk to the synagogue, they meet neighbors and friends and invite them to come along. Trying to keep her name private until the ceremony, we learn lots of beautiful baby nicknames, and see the diversity of their community.
I loved the brightly colored illustrations. While the book is darling, I don't see it as of interest to general readership, would be more popular in a library with a Jewish community. The community is diverse, Zachary has dark skin, and one of his moms is illustrated as black.
