Yayoi dreamed of becoming an artist but her parents wanted her to marry a rich man and become a housewife.  They threw away her canvases.  When she was 10, she had a vision of a field of talking flowers that looked like little dots going on forever.  This vision influenced Yayoi's art for the rest of her life.  At one point, she moved into a psychiatric hospital.  Would she ever get the recognition that she desired?

Yayoi Kusama is very interesting and shows the challenges that face anyone wishing to become a famous artist.  It was fun learning about the artist that covered the world in dots starting with paintings, sculptures, infinity rooms, and other creations.
