A humble piece of cloth destined to be turned into underwear instead covers the wings of the Wright Brothers first plane. After the plane crashes, the cloth is kept and eventually is put in a museum. Is the story over? Not by a long shot! The cloth will go on several different historic space flights.
Almost Underwear is an excellent combination of storytelling and historical facts. Science facts are thrown in as well. This book would be an excellent read aloud for students learning about the history of aviation. The pictures are engaging and the text is not very lengthy.
