Al Rosen was a Jewish man who spent his Christmas Eves taking over the work of a Christian so they could be with their families. Over the years, he did so many different jobs and became a local legend.
This is a wonderful story - what a terrific thing for him to do. Now, Jeff Gottesfeld's story telling was fantastic! I loved how all the different jobs were named in such a fun and lyrical manner, and Agatha's illustrations were the perfect complement. I can't wait for the Christmas/Hanukkah season to start recommending The Christmas Mitzvah.
