Violet and her family like to gather around the table at mealtime. They enjoy the food, talk and make many happy memories. As time goes by, each family member gets busy with other things. Dad watches TV, mom talks and texts on her phone and her brother plays online games with other kids in other places – no one is really eating dinner together at the table. Violet misses the family mealtime. What can she do to bring back the good family times they had together at mealtime?
A darling book about how people get distracted and busy and do not take time to fix and meal and sit down and eat together. Mealtime is so important for family together-ness. It is a time for families to talk about how the day was and what is going on in each of their lives. The illustrations are darling, bright and colorful when the family sits down together around the dinner table, and darker and more sad when they do not. A very poignant tale of how important it is for families to eat together in this day and age. Violet's idea of how to bring her family together again is awesome!
