The Pout Pout Fish is improving. He isn't always mad. But the ocean is so dirty that it makes the fishes sad... This story is cute and a great addition to your Earth Day collection of reads. It has some hints for recycling and will help teach students and children the value of conservation and helping. It is fun as it gathers friends together to discover who made the mess in the ocean. Who could it be?
I love the Pout Pout fish illustrations and Dan Hanna is the nicest guy ever! So seeing his work makes me smile. It is bright and fun to read. The books are written in verse and rhyme which is fun. The original is a favorite of mine but I can see this book as a fun lesson for Earth Day and a chance to talk about conservation and how we impact the planet. I will add it to my Pout Pout collection.
