The cover of this book indicates that it includes step-by-step instructions, but in reality this book has more tools and ideas rather than steps. Each figure drawing has no more than three steps, making the steps pretty big leaps. What this book does provide is explanations of what to focus on with chibis drawings - making the head bigger, sloping the shoulers - and provides examples of body parts and their portions. My ten-year-old lost interest pretty fast in this book because of lack of steps, but her drawings did turn out surprisingly cute and manga-like.
