Facts vs. Opinions vs. Robots by Michael Rex - ESSENTIAL

Facts vs. Opinions vs. Robots by Michael Rex, PICTURE BOOK Nancy Paulsen Books (Penguin Random House), 2020. $18. 9781984816269

BUYING ADVISORY: EL (K-3) -, EL - ESSENTIAL

AUDIENCE APPEAL: HIGH

How many robots are there? How many eyes to they have, is there a red one? These are all facts because the child can see the robots, right there on the page, but which one is the most fun? Well, that's an opinion. Can you figure out the difference between fact and opinion? Michael Rex can show you!

Michael Rex has made teaching the difference between Fact and Opinion so easy and engaging! I love the robots - so cute, each one different, which make this an even better share with a child because you can also look for same and different. I loved that this book teaches to wait until you get more information, and that there is nothing wrong with having an opinion. Showing this to the language arts teachers, I can totally see a classroom lesson using this book.
