Soe-In is the smallest child in her village, but she is full of resilience and determination. She never gives up. One day, the villagers wake up to a dark sky full of smoke, and no sun anywhere, Soe-In volunteers to find out what happens. The giant Spirit Tiger has swallowed the sun! Maybe the smallest of all will be the most help.
Hanna Cha's illustrations are magnificent and she tells a beautiful story. Her illustrations of the tiger - - I would buy prints to frame. I loved the note at the end about Korea and tigers, the great lessons taught and the wonderful story.
