Duncan tends to stall before bedtime, but his mom is always prepared with the right tools set up in Duncan’s room - glass of water, jug of water for refills, cotton socks, wool socks, flashlight, etc. Still, Duncan can’t sleep so his mom suggests counting sheep. This works great as Duncan gets drowsy, but sheep 68 is stalling. Now Duncan has to be the one with the tools to get sheep 68 to the other side of the bed.
This is such a fun book to read before bedtime. It is soothing in ways and funny in ways and the illustrations are fun to examine, with lots of details. Duncan also appears to be latino, which is so unique and fantastic to see in a main character in picture books.
