Mrs. Ashbury’s birthday tomorrow and she told the students she would bake and bring cupcakes for them to celebrate.  But she makes and mistake and the cupcakes burn.  How will the kids react when she tells them about her mistake.

I like the idea of showing a teacher outside of school and a teacher making a mistake.  In some places, though the story is oddly specific. At its core it is sweet.  With a bit more editing it could have much more appeal.
