When Violet gets a brand new box of 84 crayons, they are so perfect and beautiful, she can't bring herself to use them. Her little sister Marigold can't understand why Violet is so protective when she knows Violet loves to color!
Hatch's illustrations are wonderful! Violet's illustration is accompanied by all the pictures she's going to draw until she decides not to use the crayons, and then they are no longer there. A subtle detail and I loved it. Violet is white.
