Cute little Panda wakes up in a snowy wilderness. The reader asks, “What are we going to do today?" The reader wants to build a snow castle, but Panda is distracted by the nature around him. Finally, the Reader gives Panda what he needs to climb up the mountain, where a surprise awaits.
I actually really liked the interaction between whomever is reading the book and Panda, and how Panda wanted to try his/her own ideas. Derby’s story teaches grit and ingenuity. The illustrations are very alive and the ending is quite magical.
