Sam wakes up from hibernation and craves rosehip jam. He wakes up his friend Poppy with his idea to make rosehip jam. He searches for all the necessary ingredients in the snowy forest meeting forest friends along the way. Sam gets trapped in a winter storm and shelters in a cave with a hungry bear looking for a mid-hibernation snack. Will Sam get home safely? Will he ever get all the ingredients for rose-hip jam?
Poppy & Sam and the Hunt For Jam is adorable. The cartoon illustrations are charming. It feels like an early reader graphic novel. The storyline is very engaging as we hope Sam gets all his ingredients for his Jam.
