Arlo is the first bear to wake up from his long winter's nap. After Mother Bear and his sister Eva wake up, it is time to leave the mountain cave and go to live in Spring Valley. Eva doesn’t seem afraid of anything, but when she runs ahead and gets lost, Arlo may be the one to save her.
Brave Little Bear is interesting and engaging. The reader immediately feels for Arlo and is captivated by his fear and then his bravery. The illustrations are cute, well done, and capture all the emotion on each page.
