The four Brontë siblings were always telling each other stories, and the first books they wrote were handmade for Branwell’s toy soldiers. But they didn’t stop there!
O’Leary gives a short history on the Brontës and the trials they faced and overcame together as they story told together. After the short anecdote—illustrated with adorable pictures of them as children—O’Leary includes a simple book making activity. I appreciate that this book encourages children to play outside and use their imaginations, but the story itself felt purposeless.
The characters are depicted as White.
