AUDIENCE APPEAL: AVERAGE
Hunny the monster is having a grumpy day, so her friend Funny tries to cheer her up and make her laugh by telling her a series of jokes. It doesn't work until something else happens which totally cracks Hunny up.
Legendary "Goosebumps" author R. L. Stine supplied the jokes and plot, to "Arthur" illustrator Marc Brown's adorable illustrations. I love that it's full of silly (and not really funny) jokes as Stine had a former incarnation as a writer of joke books as "Jovial" Bob. The endpapers are a collection of laughter, and the illustrations fill the pages with these darling (and not so darling) monsters. I think the younger crowd will love this - can't wait to see what AJ thinks.
