How do animal parents say good night to their babies? This cute story starts out with a parent wishing their child goodnight before bedtime. It then compares how animals such as sloths, penguins, and elephants say good night to their young. This is written with a melodic beat and includes an end rhyme. It is silly and cute and contains a fun joke at the end.

If Animals Kissed Good Night is a great bedtime book for young readers. Little kids are always so fascinated with baby animals and their parents. The text pairs with excellent illustrations. It kept my four-year-old's attention and she enjoyed the content and the rhymes. The book includes characteristics that certain animals are known for, such as kangaroos jumping and penguins slipping and sliding. It is one that can be read over and over for enjoyment. The mother parent and daughter are both female Caucasians.
