BUYING ADVISORY: Pre-K, EL (K-3) - OPTIONAL
AUDIENCE APPEAL: LOW
Miro wakes up one morning and the Curiosities have changed his world so he does not at first understand the way it is. He finally catches on and discovers creepy things in the shadows where others do not look. Sometimes Miro even feels invisible and all alone.
I read this book to my grandchildren and then to a class of fourth graders. They did not like it and thought that this was the stuff nightmares are made out of. I was not too impressed either, and I do not recommend this book. It might make children more scared of the dark, dark corners and of being alone.
