There are raccoons everywhere, in the trash and all over, doing things raccoons do - like eating donuts and getting into things. They've taken over! Guess what? There's a reason. I guess it's an ecological statement - that they were here first. Hence, Revenge of the Raccoons.
Neufeld's illustrations do justice to the raccoons. They certainly look wild and scary and bothersome. I think kids will like this. The text rhymes, and it would make a fun read aloud - especially at Halloween!
