BUYING ADVISORY: Pre-K - ADVISABLE
AUDIENCE APPEAL: HIGH
What does each baby want? What does the first baby want to eat? She chooses whatever food you choose for her to have by turning a wheel on the side of the book. The choices on this page are bananas, yogurt, cookie, cake, or avocados. What does the next baby want to wear on his head? What does the next baby smell that is stinky? What toy does the next baby want to play with. What will the next baby bring to play with him in the tub? The reader gets to choose each time.
I Want That! is very cute and interactive for a young child. A child can turn the wheel on the edge of each page until he finds the object that he wants the baby to choose. A child can read the book again and again and make different choices each time learning names of objects. I enjoy the creative illustrations where the object that the child chooses turns up on the next page with the baby using it.
