Each of the animals of the Chinese Zodiac hurries up the hill with something for the Noodle Party – except snake, because he is the guest of honor.
Each animal has a single, short sentence and two page spread and the story ends abruptly with snake being celebrated.
I was underwhelmed by the story, and confused why a book coming out at the end of 2022 would celebrate snake, whose year isn’t until 2024. While the illustrations are cute, they don’t compensate for the unfulfilling tale.
