Linus lives in Linneopolis, where everyone is straight-up, orderly --- and boring. Linus loves color, many shapes, and celebrating. In order to find himself, Linus decides to leave his home and venture into the untidy, colorful world. Maybe he can convince his town that color and differences doesn’t mean something is bad.
Linus’s message of celebrating differences and allowing others into our lives is heartfelt and adorable. The contrast between black and whites lives in Linneopolis and Linus’s technicolor world are a perfect visual metaphor.
