BUYING ADVISORY: Pre-K, EL (K-3), EL – ADVISABLE
AUDIENCE APPEAL: AVERAGE
Ramen sits in the ramen aisle in the supermarket, surrounded by spaghetti propaganda. Everyone seems to love spaghetti! Ramen wishes they were spaghetti too. One day Ramen is taken home and introduced to new friends like Narutomaki and Nori. Can they learn to love themselves as they are?
A lovely little story about identity and belonging, told from the perspective of a young package of ramen. It’s a great reminder that we all have unique characteristics that make us who we are and we don’t need to be anyone else. It’s geared for a younger audience, but the message can work for older students.
