Bugs and insects are an important part of our Earth. Bailey quickly sketches some of the ways different bugs work in a rhyming text, then adds more detailed information in a sidebar. Eldridge’s multimedia illustrations are the real star of the book. I love the detailed afterword she gives about her process - and glad that the publisher included it. I will probably buy this just for my art teachers to use with students.
The girls in the book are black.
