Pictures for baby, words for you. Colorful illustrations are accompanied by funny anecdotes about new parenthood. For example, an owl thinks day and night are reversed, just like baby. Other joys of parenthood highlighted include crying, blowouts, daycare, and financial stress. I enjoyed reading this book, and found it quite funny. I would definitely purchase it for a baby shower gift. However, it does not belong in a school library. There are allusions to drinking, and there is an illustration of a wine bottle on the cover.
