Apartment 2C is the resident Know-it-all and can't admit to not knowing everything. This becomes a problem when neighbor 2B asks for a wake-up call in "20 coconuts." What in the world does that mean? How can you tell time in coconuts? 2C doesn't know and has to learn a lesson about admitting when we don't know something.
"Wake Me Up in 20 Coconuts" is meant to be a funny, interactive read-aloud. There is a large cast of apartment residents who all need different voices. 2C experiences ridiculous events that are meant to have young children giggling with delight. This little story is a morality play about the benefits of admitting, "I don't know." The characters are all different non-human shapes and colors.
