Ella (who likes to go by Sparkella) has the most amazing dad. he'll dress up in a sparkly boa to take her to school. She's heading off to a new school this year, but even though she sparkles, she needs a pep talk from her dad. The other kids don't appreciate her sparkly clothes and accessories. When she worries that maybe she sparkles too much, so the next day she is just Ella - no sparkles. But she's not herself and has a terrible day. Maybe dad can help?
The One and Only Sparkella is a delightful story about being true to yourself and is also a great view of a dad who goes all in. I hope Channing Tatum based this character on himself, because what a fun dad! A perfect book for a sparkly girl.
