BUYING ADVISORY: Pre-K, EL (K-3) - ADVISABLE

AUDIENCE APPEAL: AVERAGE

Waterfowl are birds that live on or near the water. Waterfowl live on lakes, rivers, ponds and oceans. They have many different physical characteristics that help them eat, hunt, and stay warm. Each waterfowl has a different kind of nest to raise their babies.

Waterfowl is perfectly simple and easy to understand. There are just a few words on each page and the illustrations are informative and beautiful. I felt Cathryn Sill did a good job of informing children all about waterfowl. There is an Afterward that explains more detailed information about the various subjects on each page if more knowledge is desired.
