Full of illustrations of people and animals with all kinds of hair, this book covers nearly all possible types of hair. The vocabulary used in the book is a mix of easy words and words that will take some work decoding. This isn’t a leveled reader, but it is labeled as “Bright and Early Books for Beginning Beginners” with the Cat in the Hat label.

The text copyright for this book is 1979, so it possible this will sound familiar to some. This isn’t a very complicated book, and its simplicity makes it fun and a bit old fashioned in a classic and charming way.
