Mr. Monkey is playing a video game when a bird steals his remote control. This leads Mr. Monkey on an epic hike with great views and discoveries, but also several tumbles and frustrations as he reaches for his remote and misses.

This is very accessible reading. I liked that it had only a sentence per page and a lot of pages. Our youngest readers can feel overwhelmed when pages have a lot of text, even if they are capable of reading it. The story framed by a video game increase the student appeal.
