plate is missing! She must have the
courage to ask a cat, a snake, and an owl, and also ask her goldfish friend
before she will finally be ready to share the meal.
Definitely for audiences who already know what Passover is -- no explanations of what the holiday celebrates. The message of courage to overcome fears
widens the potential audience a
bit. The literary gymnastics to make the
story rhyme is almost a bit much, though.
