The apple is hurt because the farmer didn’t pick him when it came time for the harvest. As he sits there getting grumpier and grumpier, awaiting his fate as insect food, he can’t imagine the glorious future awaiting him.
How lovely! I had no idea where this was going. I would love to use this in a lesson about prediction. I also enjoyed Liu's stripped down illustrations style.
