The king has had a bad dream about something spoiling his upcoming birthday celebration, but all he can remember is that the thing started with a P. So, in his typical way, he demands that his Royal Advisor remove everything front eh kingdom that starts with that letter - including his sister, the Princess.
Delightfully silly - kids should have a good laugh at the spoiled king’s antics. They would probably love making their own list of things that start with P that also were banished. Joyner’s illustrations emphasize the wackiness of the situation. (Do note - everyone has to walk around in their underwear after even pants are banished.)
